Google - Not Just a Noun Anymore

Is there anything more annoying than a computer collapse? We’ve all experienced it, that unexpected, unexplained cessation of all user-friendly behavior on the part of your PC.

You have contacted your software support team.  After several lifetimes on hold, you have finally reached someone who seems to know less about the problem than you do.

Or at least that’s what you’ve surmised from their completely incomprehensible English….

and the fact they seem to be insisting that they can only help you if you allow them virtual access to your computer.

No! Nein! Non!  I don’t think so.

If you run into similar setbacks in the future…why not just Google the problem?

Someone may have made a YouTube video depicting how to remedy the situation,

or perhaps there’s a manufacturer’s write up on how best to fix it or at least a fellow user’s overview of the issues.

You may find the solution from someone who has had not only the experience of having the problem but the success of fixing it.

And if not, the good news is, any further information you discover will give you more to go on, more credibility when you call back the software company and ask to escalate this matter to the top for more help.

So when your computer’s going down and your brain is going numb, waiting for any sign of intelligent life on the tech support end of the phone.

Google it. Yes!... Google, it’s not just a noun anymore.

Google it!

It could be right there. Instant gratification on the internet.

You just have to open up your great big Googly eyes!
