Alina Brusenko considers herself a citizen of the world. She was born in Ukraine but when she was only 16, she moved to Israel to study and then work. She moved to Canada with her husband and first child in 2015.
Alina received her BA in Management in 2009 and her Master of Business Administration in 2011. She is currently a CPA-PEP Candidate at the Western School of Business.
Financial analysis is one area of expertise that Alina brings to PCS. “In Israel at my job as Finance Business Partner, I provided support to my marketing colleagues regarding performance management, decision making, development of business models, P&L analysis and strategy formulation. I also served as the main contact person for local teams regarding financial planning.”
Her success at work is the result of not only her determination but her goal-setting and multi-tasking abilities. “I like to master the tasks in front of me. Since every day is different here, that is challenging, but the rewards soon come because of the experience I gain.”
With two small children at home and her CPA studies, Alina is busy. She likes to be outdoors, particularly in her garden. “I’m eager to see my asparagus coming up this year.” She and her family have also been traveling – as far west as Vancouver Island and as far south as Waterton National Park.
