A recent graduate of the Career Development Institute (CDI) in the Accounting and Payroll Administration Diploma program, Krystal White is enjoying learning the ropes from her more experienced teammates at Preferred Client Services. “When I ask Barb a question, I’m amazed that she has the answer within 60 seconds when I had been puzzling over the problem for 20 minutes!” said Krystal. “I find it so rewarding to learn something new, and as a result, my confidence in successfully completing my work is growing every day.”
The discovery of her knack for math came long after high school when Jenny, her GED prep instructor showed her a different way of learning about numbers. Once she began to pull off 90’s in her math tests, she began to consider bookkeeping as a viable career path.
Krystal believes her ability to multi-task combined with her willingness to find easier and faster ways to complete her assignments will support her as she grows in the job.
A transplant from New Brunswick, Krystal moved to Edmonton with her husband and two children a few years ago. She really appreciates the company values that support her in functioning well as a working mother.
Family time is of utmost importance when Krystal is away from work. There are road trips and camping adventures in the summer and indoor soccer in the winter.
