A seasoned bookkeeper, Krystal White has returned to PCS after a two-year hiatus to focus on family matters. A graduate of the Career Development Institute (CDI) in the Accounting and Administration Diploma program, Krystal was brand new to bookkeeping when she first joined PCS in 2017. Over the next four years, she honed her skills, gained her confidence, and grew to love the profession. “Working with so many different files in a variety of industries has brought home the importance of financial accuracy for businesses. Incorrect information is detrimental not only to companies but to our economy.”
Krystal handles new challenges at work by accessing the many resources available – the internet, the CRA website, and her teammates. “There’s always so much to learn. I like to joke about being paid to go to school, simply by showing up to work every day!”
During her hiatus, Krystal worked briefly for other firms. From that experience, she gained a new appreciation for the PCS structure. “Things run here like a well-oiled machine. We’re constantly updating client files so the team has accurate information. When I need help here, answers don’t take long to come.”
Now that her kids are older, Krystal uses family time for road trips. Not only do they enjoy camping and hiking adventures in the summer but in the winter as well.
