Olga Iosip and her husband moved to Canada from Kazakhstan in 2013. Prior to emigrating, she received her Economics degree and her Banking Diploma in Russia and worked there as an Assistant Accountant at a bank and an Accountant at a school. In 2020, she earned her Accounting & Payroll Administration Diploma through CDI College here in Edmonton.
“In school, I always liked numbers and was very good at math.” In 2018, when Olga’s daughter turned five, Olga enrolled in English classes before starting her program with CDI College. “I think the ability to communicate with others is very important.”
Olga considers Preferred Client Services the best place to work in Edmonton. “Barb is very kind, and the rest of the team are always willing to help with learning new programs.” A very punctual person, Olga not only enjoys her tasks, but she also enjoys learning something new everyday. An attention to detail, the ability to meet her deadlines, and her willingness to learn new communication skills all help her to succeed at work.
At home, Olga continues to practice her English. She has taught her daughter to skip rope – something she enjoys doing herself. She and her family love taking trips to the mountains, and in the summer, they explore different parts of Canada. When asked how she relaxes, Olga was quick to say cleaning her house. “I really relax when I’m cleaning!”
