Productivity Tip - BookKeeping

Frog Legs, Anyone?

“Eat a live frog first thing in the morning, and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.”

This quirky, questionable advice has actually inspired productivity expert, Brian Tracy, who now uses it as an analogy in his quest to help business people better organize their day while accomplishing more IN it.

Tracey equates the so called “frogs” with the most difficult tasks you have to do all day, and he encourages us to tackle those A tasks first and get them right out of the way.

The rest of your to-do list should be categorized into:

B tasks that really SHOULD be completed today, but, if not, it’s not going to have a huge impact.

C tasks that COULD be done, but, if they’re not, there will be no consequences at all.

The D-list ones, jobs you can easily delegate and the E-ones that can just be eliminated.

Use your self-discipline and will power to eat those frogs as soon as possible. Reward yourself for your bravery by delegating and eliminating the D and E tasks

and then schedule the “SHOULD” and “COULD” do tasks once all the frogs are gone.

Organizing the workday in this manner, Tracey claims you will actually double your productivity!
